We are delighted to announce the upcoming 15th AMMRA & AMPC Meeting in Kawasaki, scheduled on Thursday, September 18 and Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Event Hall of Shimadzu Tokyo Innovation Plaza (STIP).
Since its establishment in 2006, the Asian Mouse Mutagenesis & Resource Association (AMMRA) has served as a vital platform for research institutes in Japan, China, Korea, and Taiwan, advancing biomedical research through mutant mice generation and resource utilization in the Asian region. Furthermore, the Asian Mouse Phenotyping Consortium (AMPC), established in 2010 to facilitate collaboration with the International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium (IMPC), has been successfully conducting joint annual meetings (AMMRA & AMPC meetings) with AMMRA since 2011, fostering substantial growth in regional research.
In recent years, we have witnessed revolutionary advances in genome analysis technology and information science, alongside breakthrough developments in genome editing technologies. These advances have enabled researchers to expand their focus beyond protein-coding genes to explore the intricate functions of non-coding genomes elements potentially more closely linked to human health and disease. Additionally, new methodologies for decoding model animal behavior have opened unprecedented avenues for research.
We are honored to feature Dr. Yasuhiro Murakawa from the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Biology, Kyoto University, who will deliver a special lecture titled “Charting novel disease-linked enhancers in mammals: Cross-species discovery and technology development.” Distinguished researchers from various organizations in Asia and Australia will share their insights on functional genome research and AI-based behavior analysis research. Moreover, we are privileged to welcome Dr. Yann HERAULT from the Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology, French National Centre for Scientific Research, former chair of IMPC, who will present a plenary talk entitled “The International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium for the understanding of genes and diseases: Advancing Mouse Genetics Through Global Collaboration”.
We are confident that this meeting will serve as a catalyst for advancing mouse resource utilization research in the Asia-Australia region and inspire innovative directions in life science research. Your participation will be invaluable in fostering meaningful scientific exchange and collaboration.
We look forward to welcoming you this exciting scientific meeting.
